Champaign County Self-Help Center

The Champaign County Self-Help Center is located on the first floor of the Champaign County Courthouse, near courtroom L.


MONDAYS and TUESDAYS — 11:00 a.m. to noon; 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

WEDNESDAYS and THURSDAYS — 9:00 a.m. to noon‡ ; 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

( ‡ Subject to occasional Thursday morning closures for in-court family case assistance)

FRIDAYS 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

(9:00 to noon, 1:00 to 4:00 Mondays thru Thursdays; 9:00 to 2:00 Fridays)

Walk-ins from courtrooms will be accepted if there is no one with an appointment already
being assisted. In such situations, the person seeking assistance may wait outside the
Help Center for an opening if there is proper spacing or may call for an appointment.

Though they cannot provide legal advice, they can provide assistance in the following areas:

  • Family Law/Custody
  • Foreclosure
  • Divorce
  • Orders of Protection
  • Expungement and Sealing
